Blood culture if febrile
Discuss respiratory tract investigations with ENT
Infection Control
Isolate with droplet precautions
Treatment
CEFTRIAXONE IV 2g 24 hourly
CEFTRIAXONE is a restricted antimicrobial for this indication and after the first dose, you will need an authorisation code
