Prophylaxis:
- Ciprofloxacin STAT dose:
Adults (incl pregnant women) and children > 12 years -> 500mg PO
Children 5-12 years -> 250mg PO
Children 1 month - 4 years -> 125mg PO
Children <1month -> 30mg/kg (max 125mg) PO
Prophyalxis required for patient prior to discharge if patient DID NOT receive treatment with ceftriaxone. Discuss with Public health with regards to contact tracing and prophylaxis
