Refer woman and contacts to Central Sexual health service or ED if severe.

Essential to do dual test for N. gonorrhoea and Chlamydia AND cervical culture for gonorrhoea

If gonorrhoea likely (partner has it, sex abroad, severe symptoms), resistance to quinolones is high, use ceftriaxone regimen, or refer to Central Sexual health.

Partners should be tested and treated in all cases of PID.
