Dermatophyte Infection - Skin
Terbinafine is fungicidal: treatment time shorter than with fungistatic imidazoles.
If candida possible, use imidazole.
If intractable, send skin scrapings, and if infection confirmed, use oral terbinafine/itraconazole.
Scalp: discuss with dermatology, oral therapy indicated

1-2 weeks for 1-2 wks after healing (i.e. 4-6wks)
ortopical imidazole

1-2 weeks for 1-2 wks after healing (i.e. 4-6wks)
or (athlete’s foot only): topical undecanoates:e.g. Mycota

1-2 weeks for 1-2 wks after healing (i.e. 4-6wks)
