Human bite: Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, oral anaerobes

Oral Co-amoxiclav

Animal Bite in penicillin allergy - age over 6 months and under 12 years

Oral Co-trimoxazole

and

Oral Metronidazole

Send blood and swabs for culture.

Consider the necessity for surgical intervention, tetanus prophylaxis and topical cleaning.

Under 6 months: consult paediatric infectious diseases specialist or microbiology.
