Drug details
First line
Flucloxacillin 500mg four times daily for 5 days
Dose may be increased to 1g four times daily if necessary
If penicillin allergic
Adults
Doxycycline 200mg on the first day then 100mg daily for 4 days
Dose may be increased to 100mg twice daily if necessary
Children
Clarithromycin for 5 days
