  • For unsuccessful eradication or for people who have had in the last year previous exposure to clarithromycin and/or metronidazole see NICE guidance here.
  • For people already on another PPI, it is appropriate to continue this and not start Omeprazole. Discontinue PPI post-eradication.

Recommended total duration = 7 days

Omeprazole 20mg every 12 hours orally

Amoxicillin 1g every 12 hours orally

PLUS

Metronidazole 400mg every 12 hours orally
Penicillin-allergy

Omeprazole 20mg every 12 hours orally

PLUS

Clarithromycin 500mg every 12 hours orally

PLUS

Metronidazole 400mg every 12 hours orally
