PEP for HIV: Quick guidance for risk assessment & initial management

Scenario: Person presents to Emergency Department seeking PEP for sexual exposure

• PEP is only recommended for condomless anal or vaginal sex or where condoms have failed.
• Refer to BASHH guideline when patients are already on Pre Exposure for HIV.
