Insulin Ward Stock

On admission to hospital, insulin should be prescribed on HEPMA and the insulin prescription sheet.
If a patient is using their OWN insulin pen, this can be prescribed as per their insulin pen brand:
e.g Tresiba FlexPen
If a patient does not have their own insulin pen or will be unable to given their own insulin, the ward stock equivalent should be prescribed instead:
