Warning
- Usually the result of a direct blow to the ear or exposure to sudden loud noise.
- Advise to keep ear dry – cotton wool plug with Vaseline on inside when exposed to water.
- Majority will heal.
- Routine referral to ENT Clinic – ENT@borders.scot.nhs.uk.
