Accessing a mental health officer (MHO)

MHO consent should be sought in granting of an Emergency Detention Certificate (EDC).

MHO consent must be given for a Short Term Detention Certificate (STDC). 

This applied in-hours or out-of-hours. (In-hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, excluding public holidays).
