Ophthalmic preparations
Warning
When administering two different eye drops scheduled for the same time allow 5 minutes between drops to allow adsorption and prevent the first drop being washed out. Administer cyclopentolate eye drops first.

Carbomer 0.2% eye drops | Provide artificial tears while infant paralysed with neuromuscular blocking agents | 1 drop 4 times a day |
Hypromellose 0.3% | Provide artificial tears while infant paralysed with neuromuscular blocking agents | 1 drop 4 times a day |
Chloramphenicol eye drops 0.5% | To treat eye infection | One drop into each eye every 4 hours for 2 days, then reduce to every 6 hours for a further 5 days |
