Catheterised Patients

Therapy

Only treat if systemically unwell or pyelonephritis likely. 

  • Remove or replace catheter 
  • Send pre-treatment CSU 
  • Start empirical antibiotics 

Start antibiotics as guided by recent CSU’s or empirically if there are no positive cultures.
