All topical and oral azoles give over 80% cure.

In pregnancy avoid oral azoles and use intravaginal treatment for 7 days.

Recurrent cases (at least 4 episodes in 12 months with 2 episodes confirmed by microscopy or culture):

Consider Referral to GUM for fungal speciation and sensitivities and management

orally every 72 hours for 3 doses followed by 150mg orally once weekly for 6 months
