Drug

IV or IM Benzylpenicillin

Dosage

Age 10+ years: 1200mg

Children 1-9 years: 600mg

Children ​less than than 1 year: 300mg

Duration

Give IM if vein cannot be found.

Drug

Or
IV or IM Cefotaxime

Dosage

Age 12+ years: 1gram

Child < 12 years: 50mg/kg

Duration

Give IM if vein cannot be found.
