Reporting Deaths to PF
 
            It is frequent that following a death of our patients that the Procurator Fiscal needs to be involved.
The below link gives more details but in our patients the most common reason is due to admission following a fall, fracture or indeed an inpatient fall with harm.
If you need to report a death- phone the relevant office and they will send you a form to complete. Following this they may require the Police to do a further investigation.
A DEATH CERTIFICATE SHOULD NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL THE PROCURATOR FISCAL GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO DO THIS.
