Fall in Inpatient

If a patient has a fall on the ward they must be reviewed by a Doctor or ANP within 24 hours but where possible this should be done as soon as possible. 

An inpatient falls review sheet should be completed, placed in the notes and the outcome of this communicated to the nursing staff and your colleagues at handover (especially if imaging is awaited).
