Older Peoples Service (South)
Warning
- Referring Doctor to phone ophthalmology department to alert of incoming referral
- Fill in online referral form on Trak care
- Ward is contacted re outcome of referral – either not to be seen and advice given , patient to come to clinic or Dr will see patient on the ward if appropriate
- Requests for Temporal artery biopsy should be done via the on call Ophthalmologists
- If patients need urgent review then on-call ophthalmologist should be contacted after 5pm weekdays and during weekend hours
