Formulation:

Tablets 10mg, 40mg

Dosage:

Essential tremor or tremors associated with anxiety or thyrotoxicosis, 40mg 2 or 3 times daily, increased if necessary; 80 to 160mg daily is usually required for maintenance.

For patients intolerant to propranolol, but only under specialist advice, initiate at 12·5 to 25mg daily then adjust dose according to response.
